Board of Supervisor’s Meeting
June 3, 2026
Attendance: Mike Mcullen, Alden Shute, Maureen Rioux, Patrice Winfield, Cindy Kleinschmidt,
Rachel Bean, Wendy Wildflower, Clayton Heller Jr, Jason Palme, and Stefanie Wiliamson.
Mike Mcullen called the meeting to order.
Clerk’s Report: Cindy Kleinschmidt read the minutes of the Board of Supervisor’s Board
Meeting of May 6, 2026. Maureen Rioux made a motion to accept the minutes, Alden Shute
seconded and motion passed.
Road Report: Alden Shute explained the road projects and estimated expenses for 2026.
Eagle Head Road and Crooked Lake Road: 2 loads of gravel, about $975
Vink Road: 2 loads of 2 inch minus gravel, about $540
Tamarack Pine: 3 loads of red rock, just under $1,000
River Cabin Road: 1 load of concrete breaker and 2 loads of gravel, a little over $1,000
North Duncan Road: 6 loads of miscellaneous 2 inch minus gravel, $17,070
Heller Drive: 12 loads of gravel. I would like to have Alden Shute clarify the dollar amount for this project. I will update the minutes for May meeting.
Some discussion about Ken Peterson Road.
Mike Mcullen made a motion to move forward with these road projects. Maureen Rioux seconded and motion passed.
Maureen Rioux made a motion to accept the road report. Mike McCullen seconded motion and passed.
Old Business: Donation contracts for Senior 7 Foundation, 210 Arts Gallery, Family Pathways, and The Pine County Historical Society were all submitted to the board.
Discussion about liability insurance: Lawyer recommends the township has at least $1.5million coverage for liability insurance. Cindy Kleinschmidt confirmed that our policy currently has $1.5million for liability coverage.
Grader roof leak: Clayton Heller Jr. submitted an estimate to the board. Alden Shute made a motion to accept the estimate and have Clayton Heller Jr. proceed with the work. Maureen Rioux seconded the motion and motion passed.
Maureen Rioux made a motion to give Glen Wiliamson a plaque to recognize his 15+ years of service on the board. Alden Shute seconded the motion and motion passed. Maureen will order a plaque for Paul Raymond and Glen Wiliamson to recognize their years of service with Wilma Township.
New Business: The board had a discussion about looking into replacing the handicap accessible ramp coming into the town hall. Maureen Rioux will see if there is any type of grants to help cover the expense.
Wendy Wildflower announced The Ecovillage was hosting a Summer Solstice Festival June 6, 2026 and June 7, 2026. There would live music, camping, and other events to participate in.
Patrice Winfield has $1,703.10 In bills. Alden Shute made a motion to transfer $1,700 from savings to checking to pay the bills. Maureen Rouixt seconded, and motion passed.
